Interior Design

Amersham Designs were initially called in to supply and install motorised Silent Gliss roller blinds for the kitchen, dining area and the bathrooms. Having successfully completed this part of the project, we were soon called back to furnish all of the windows through out the property and were then asked to take on the project of designing and installing the formal living room scheme.

The living room was already painted in Farrow and Ball cooking apple green and had a beautiful soft grey toned oak floor, other than that it was a blank canvas. Initial thoughts were “we must change the walls to a deep grey tone” but the client was steadfast on their colour decision and we worked the scheme around it, and actually we are so glad that we did. We love it!

Rather than taking the scheme down a more traditional route as the wall colour would normally dictate, we contrasted the classic green with contemporary geometric designs for the roman blinds and furniture in Larson fabrics. Cushions were made in bold mustard yellow to create an interesting accent and a touch of glamour was added with a lavish leopard print rug from Stark carpets, a Tiffany style mirrored coffee table from Simpsons mirrors and a gorgeous collection of mirrors and lamps from Porta Romana.
