Inspired by rugged mountainscapes, a handmade collage of rock formation photography gradually developed into this abstract jacquard weave. A subtle statement, a combination of weave structures brings life and texture to this super large-scale design.

A hero collection of original designs woven in a mixture of innovative qualities, including a layered pocket weave, chunky knit, relaxed embroidery, detailed jacquard and sophisticated velvets. Inspirationally, this collection looked to rugged landscapes and the flora one might find there, as well as graphic structures informing geometrics that continue to be a consistent trend in the Kirkby library. Achieving such distinct designs required a forward-thinking and experimental attitude, using an amalgamation of mediums such as paint, collages, photography and acoustics in a creative manner. A cutting-edge palette breathes life into each design, as earthy browns and rich ochres are punctuated by zesty tones of green, orange and apricot.
